What about the cost of clubbing?

As the cost might vary from one club and one event to another, we highlight in this post the cost of clubbing in general terms and we do not talk about cost of partying in a particular club, However, we are providing the contact details for each club so you can reach out to them and ask for further information in case you are interested to learn more.

  • Club entrance: Up to 35 Euros (entrance fee for some of clubs might include 1 free drink)
  • One drink: 10 – 25 Euros
  • Bottle service: 350 – 10,000 Euros or more (it depends on how big you would like go)

Why we think you should always reserve a table at the club?

We understand that it’s not cheap to reserve a table at a club, but we still think it’s worth it for many reasons. First of all, you avoid the entrance problems, it’s very rarely that the bouncers won’t let you in if you have a table reserved at the club. Having said that, the management reserves the right to refuse admission. Also, some of these clubs will only let you in if you arrive before midnight, but again this applies for those of you who didn’t reserve a table. The second benefit is that drinks are inclusive in the table rate, so you avoid the hustle of going back and forth to the bar all night long just to grab your drinks. The third reason, is you will have your own space to enjoy dancing freely without being disturbed by other people in case the club was crowded and of course this can apply to both standing or couch tables depending on the size of the club. To conclude, it’s more cost beneficial to book a table (bottle service) as long as you can afford it.

What about the reviews?

If you lookup the clubs mentioned in this post, you will find out that they have mixed reviews, both good and bad testimonies. Most of the bad reviews is due to entrance problems (we gave you a tip above on how to decrease your chance of not getting in). Most of clubs can be quite strict at the door, they cannot just let everybody in, they need to maintain certain quality and balance. Having read all kind of reviews, from our side we actually believe that it all depends on the personal experience, meaning you shouldn’t judge anything unless you try it. It’s very simple, try it and if you don’t like the clubbing experience in any club for any kind of reasons then don’t go there again!

We hope you’ve enjoyed this post!

When is the Best Time to be on Holiday 2019?

When is the Best Time to be on Holiday 2019?

Often people are looking to find the best time to be on holiday, whether it’s a long holiday for a couple of weeks or a short city trip for 2-4 days. In this post, we provide you some advice on the best time to be on holiday, but that depends from one person to another on a number of elements, whether you have flexibility at work to take your holiday whenever you want or whether you can only go on holidays when your kids have school holidays or when your partner is available. It can also depend on your budget as it’s one of the hurdles to find a good time to be on vacation. Here are our best tips which can help you find the best time to be on holiday:

1. Find a cheap flight to a country of destination

One of the key considerations for travelers while planning their holiday is to find a cheap flight to their country of destination. You could simply do that by either booking your flight early enough in the year if you already have a place in mind or by booking during the low season period. The best low season period that we identify is September, October,  May and sometimes you can find a good deal in June as well.

Use social media platforms to find the cheapest flight deals by following a number of travel bloggers and travel agencies which can find the deal for you, as these people post regularly on their Facebook page or on their Instagram profile the best flight deals they find on the internet.

Another way to find great flight deals is by subscribing to newsletters provided by travel agencies. This is ideal for those of you who would like to do a few city trips during a long weekend in order to explore a city or a country nearby.

In case you have few destinations in mind, you could also use our low fare calendar which can help you find the cheapest time to fly during the year.

2.   Bridge your holiday with bank holidays

Most people have work or other commitments in their life, they cannot just leave on holiday whenever they want to because they need to show up to work and they probably have limited days off in one year. Therefore, one of our best tips is to make the best out of your holiday by bridging them with bank holidays, whether it’s Independence Day or other types of holiday in your country of residence, take few days off before or after that day. This way you don’t waste your bank holidays, but you are actually enjoying them somewhere on the beach or on a mountain. So actually, this way you use your holidays more efficiently. Besides, this way you minimize the workload when you come back from holiday as everyone else had one or two days off due to a bank holiday. Of course, all of the above is correct if you plan your holiday in advance, that’s why planning your holiday is very important to make the best out of it.

3. Find the right work-holiday balance

Finding the best time to be on holiday isn’t always related to finding cheap flights and cheap hotels, a lot of people go on vacation simply because they need it. Nowadays, we live in a competitive environment that requires people to work hard. Thus, people want to have a regular break from work, they need to disconnect for a while from their daily activities and clear their minds in order to come back more productive, and the best way to do that is by being on holiday. Try to break your holiday in parts, make sure that you are not continuously working for more than 6 months. For instance, if you are entitled to take 20 days off in a year, try to break them into 3 or 4 parts as follows (5, 5, 10 days), if you take the first 5 days including weekends that would sum-up to 9 days which is a good period to be on vacation and disconnect for 9 days. You could arrange the second 5 days to have multiple city trips during a long weekend or you could use them to bridge with bank holidays. The last 10 days you could use for the so-called “holiday of the year”, which is normally people would take during the summer period. This way you break your holiday into parts.

The key element for all of the above is to plan your vacation days in advance and don’t leave it for the last second. We know that planning in advance can be very challenging due to different circumstances and requires some efforts but once you do it you could repeat the same plan every year, adjust it and build on it.

To recap:

  • Find a cheap flight to a country of destination
  • Bridge your holiday with bank holidays
  • Find the right work-holiday balance

10 Tips for Travelling Luxurious on a Budget

Luxurious travelling on a budget means enjoying a luxurious holiday, staying in a luxurious but affordable hotels and doing a lot of activities during your trip without spending a fortune. Here are our 10 tips for luxurious travel on a budget:

Tip 1: Set your budget

Before you start planning your trip, you need to set your budget. Ask yourself how much you are willing to spend on a luxury holiday? You don’t have to come-up with an exact number but put a limit or a range in mind. This range/limit will help you decide making a trade-off. For example, you could book a luxurious hotel room and save on the flight by booking cheap flights with one or two layovers (direct flights are more expensive than the ones which include one stop or two).

Tip 2: Book your flight in advance

One of the most important elements of finding a cheap flight tickets is to plan in advance, whether you are planning a short city trip for the weekend or a long holiday. Although, you can find very attractive last-minute flight deals, but we always advise our travelers to book their flight ticket in advance, it’s just a matter of getting organized. Booking in advance can save you a lot of money, this is a known tip for most frequent travelers.

Tip 3: Be flexible on dates

Being flexible on dates doesn’t mean travelling in low season only, it means shifting your holiday by +/- one to three days or maybe weeks in order to get the best price for your flight tickets. We do understand that it’s not always possible to do that due to work or personal commitments. My Flight One recommends its travelers to avoid travelling on the weekend, start your holiday on Thursdays and come back on Mondays if possible. Also, being flexible on time (e.g. arriving midnight) can save you some money as well.

Tip 4: Use our “Low Fare Calendar”

Low Fare Calendar widget is one of the great features My Flight One has. The Low Fare Calendar allows our customers to fly cheap by providing them visibility on the cheapest month to fly to any given destination. As mentioned in tip 2, you have to be flexible on dates in order to get the best price for your flight.

Travelling on a budget doesn’t mean you cannot enjoy staying in a luxurious hotel or enjoying a comfortable room. You can still save money while enjoying a luxurious room but in order to do so, you need to look for a valuable hotel deals, meaning look for discounted hotel room rates. The darker the color the more activities you could do around the hotel (sightseeing areas, eating area, shopping areas and nightlife areas). Here is an example of the hotel heat map:

Tip 7: Plan your tours

Planning your activities is a key success factor to enjoying your holiday. Make sure you book your tickets to museums and attractions ahead of your trip in order not to waste your time during the trip. Our website is a very a good place to plan your activities in advance, they offer affordable guided tours and tickets to attractions. Moreover, they provide great special offers and visibility on events happening near you.

Tip 8: Cheap Transportation (cars or trains)

Now that you’ve booked your tours and you know where you are going to, arranging your transportation is an important element of enjoying your holiday. In some European cities you might not even need a transportation and you can just enjoy walking short distances. However, to travel from one city to another you would need either a train or a car depending on your budget. We recommend you to use economybookings, they also provide luxury car. European cities are connected very well through railways and parking can be very expensive in some cities so using the train might be a solution for you if you are not planning on renting the car (click here to book your train ticket in advance). In case you are staying in the country side (where hotel rooms are cheaper) then renting a car would be ideal for transporting from one city to another (get your free E-book guide of renting a car in Europe by clicking here). Understanding both the traffic law of your destination country and the rental car contract are very important. You may want to be aware that some rental car companies may charge you with administration fees in case you get a fine (fees for providing your data to the police department), so you really need to understand the law in order to avoid getting a fine and save some money for other activities on your holidays.

You can get compensated for that, all you need to do is entering your flight details including a short description in this link here. The possibility of compensation is available on the flights of all registered EU carriers. Please note that compensation doesn’t include problems caused by extreme circumstances (unfavorable weather conditions, acts of terrorism, etc.) If the claim is successfully finished, the traveler is paid 75% of the compensation received. The remaining 25% is Compensair’s commission (the company who helped with the compensation process). In case of failure, the traveler does not bear any costs, since the fee is only charged after receiving compensation.
